Workshops

Dancing TreePeople Orchard and Garden is located in Upper Lake, California. Our mission is to create a place and model a way of living that embodies our connection with the land. Our programs, workshops and organic growing are conducted in a way that regenerates the health of the soil and living systems, and connects with our local community.

We offer a Natural Building workshop and a 5-day natural plasters workshop. Cost of the workshops includes meals. We can also help arrange nearby accomodations for out-of-town participants who do not want to rough it.

We will soon announce workshops for 2008. Possibilities include an introduction to ecological gardening, Natural Plasters, Earth-bag building, water-wisdom in the garden and home, energy efficient design.

Natural Building -- 6 Day

Instructor: Massey Burke

Learn natural building with cob and straw from Massey Burke, an experienced natural builder. Participants will construct a small artistic and whimsical structure using local natural materials.

Cost $480 for the full program, including meals.** Limited to 20 participants

**Sliding Scale, Worktrade and Scholarships are available for those who want to participate in either or both of the programs but cannot afford the full fee. Worktrade/Scholarships require a commitment to attend the entire program.

Natural Plasters -- 2 Day

Instructor: Massey Burke

Learn natural finishing, natural plasters and related art forms using local natural materials. Next workshop: September 14-15, 2007

Cost $220. Scholarships available. Limited to 15 participants
